Parking at TMG

Harvard Avenue in Brookline is a small, one way side street running from Park Street towards Harvard Street. Harvard Street is a main road in Brookline which changes its name in Allston to Harvard Avenue. This can be very confusing -- hopefully the following directions will help.

TMG is located on the 2nd floor of a large orange Victorian house on the corner of 3 Harvard Avenue and 110 Harvard Street. Our entrance is on Harvard Avenue. We are between Coolidge Corner and Brookline Village.

TMG is up one flight of stairs. Please call us if any party has a disability which requires special arrangements.

 

From Downtown

Go west on Beacon Street through Kenmore Square heading towards Coolidge Corner.
Just before Coolidge Corner, turn left onto St. Paul Street, across from a Holiday Inn.
Take your 2nd right onto Longwood and drive to end.
Turn left onto Harvard Street and go 1/4 mile to corner of 110 Harvard Street and 3 Harvard Avenue.
TMG is located directly across the street from the Walgreen's parking lot, in a orange Victorian.

West on Huntington Avenue/Route 9 (which becomes Washington Street in Brookline) to Brookline Village.
Bear right, off of Rte. 9, following Washington Street (Brookline Savings Bank ahead/ follow sign to JFK birthplace).
Almost immediately you will again bear right (you're now in Brookline Village) onto Harvard STREET.
Harvard AVENUE is on your left just after the intersection of Harvard & School Streets, directly across from the Walgreen's parking lot.
We are located in a orange Victorian on the second floor, right side.

 

From the West via the Massachusetts Turnpike(I-90):

Take Exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston-Brighton) towards Brighton, exiting onto Cambridge St. At 4th set of lights, turn left onto Harvard Avenue (Sports Depot on right) Go 1.5 miles (cross Brighton Ave and Commonwealth Avenue). When you enter Brookline, the street name changes to Harvard Street. Continue past Beacon Street. Pass Stop & Shop on your left. When you see Walgreen's on your left, park. TMG's entrance is at 3 Harvard Avenue.

From the West via Route 9:

Go past the Chestnut Hill Mall on your left, and the Brookline Reservoir on your right. Turn left onto Cypress Street (Mobil Station on far side of intersection on left, VW dealership on right). Turn left at light onto Washington Street (CVS on left). Take 1st right onto Park Street. Pass Park Vale and then take a quick right onto Harvard Avenue. Please park on the left side of the street when you see the playground on your right, towards the bottom of the street. (Or continue to the corner, turn onto Harvard Street and park). TMG is on that corner.

From the South via Rt. 128/I-95:

Exit 20 onto Route 9 East, towards Boston. Go 5.9 miles, past the Chestnut Hill Mall on your left, and the Brookline Reservoir on your right. Turn left onto Cypress Street (Mobil Station on far side of intersection on left, VW dealership on right). Turn left at light onto Washington Street (CVS on left). Take 1st right onto Park Street. Pass Park Vale and then take a quick right onto Harvard Avenue. When you see the playground on your right, park on the left side of the street. (Or continue to the corner, turn onto Harvard Street and park at metered space). TMG is on that corner.

 

From the South via I-93:

Exit I-93 onto the Mass Turnpike West; take Exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston-Brighton) towards Brighton, exiting onto Cambridge St. At 4th set of lights, turn left onto Harvard Avenue (Sports Depot on right) Go 1.5 miles (cross Brighton Ave and Commonwealth Avenue). From the North via I-95:

Exit I-95 onto Route 1 South at the Peabody/Saugus exit (this is a big exit). Follow Rt. 1 South to the Tobin Bridge (approx. $2.00 toll) and exit onto Storrow Drive (West). Exit Storrow Drive at Kenmore Sq. (it's a left exit – stay right as you come off the exit) and bear right onto Beacon St. Remain on Beacon (as you approach BU Bookstore, stay in a middle lane) go through Kenmore (passing Hotel Buckminster on your left) and proceed outbound toward Brookline. Turn left onto St. Paul Street (Holiday Inn on right), approximately 1.5 miles. Take your 2nd right onto Longwood Ave, and drive to the end. Turn left onto Harvard Street and go 1/4 mile to corner of 110 Harvard Street and 3 Harvard Avenue.

 

From the North via I-93:

Take Exit 26A to Storrow Drive (West). Exit Storrow Drive at Kenmore Sq. (it's a left exit – stay right as you come off the exit) and bear right onto Beacon St. Remain on Beacon (as you approach BU Bookstore, stay in a middle lane) go through Kenmore (passing Hotel Buckminster on your left) and proceed outbound toward Brookline. Turn left onto St. Paul Street (Holiday Inn on right), approximately 1.5 miles. Take your 2nd right onto Longwood Ave, and drive to the end. Turn left onto Harvard Street and go 1/4 mile to corner of 110 Harvard Street and 3 Harvard Avenue.

 

On the MBTA:

From Downtown take the Green Line, C or D OUTBOUND

If you take the C train (Cleveland Circle) get off at Coolidge Corner and head south (toward the Fleet Bank) 1/4 mile.
Walk South towards Brookline Village, past Stop & Shop to 110 Harvard Street. Enter around corner on Harvard Avenue (10 minute walk). TMG will be on right in the orange Victorian across from the Walgreen's parking lot.

If you take the D train (Riverside) get off at Brookline Village.
Walk left, up the hill, on Station Road and turn right (Post Office on corner).
At fork, bear right onto Harvard Street. Continue through the next set of lights, at Hollywood Video (5 minutes).
TMG is directly across the street from the Walgreen's parking lot, in the orange Victorian (on the second floor, right side).

 

Parking at TMG

All parking in Brookline is limited to 2 hours. There is metered parking on Harvard Street as well as free street parking on Harvard Avenue. (Harvard Avenue is one way running from Park Street towards Harvard Street.)

Harvard Street:  Meters take up to 8 quarters, which will buy you 2 hours. They are in effect until 8 PM. They do not ticket if you keep the meter fed. We are happy to make change. Please ask Amy or Katie for quarters.

Non-metered parking on Harvard Avenue: You can park on the side street, Harvard Avenue, for free for up to 2 hours. After 2 hours you need to move your car or they may ticket you.  Note: Closest to our building, between 7 and 9 AM and between 4 and 6 PM parking is restricted to 15 minutes; other than those times, the 2 hour rule is in effect.

Note: Because there is no sign on the street, the traffic department may forgive a first ticket if you write or call to contest it.

Walgreens lot: Park at your own risk! Walgreens has signs posted that they will tow, but many people park there all day without a problem.
