Brad Honoroff Brad Honoroff, J.D. (Harvard, 1973)has mediated over one thousand cases across the full spectrum of civil disputes including injuries of all kinds, commercial disputes, business and insurance matters, environmental, intellectual property, health care and family disputes. He specializes in emotionally charged as well as complex, multiparty cases. Brad spent many years as a tenured professor at the UMass Boston Graduate Program on Dispute Resolution and currently serves on the Massachusetts court panels as well as national mediation panels. Jane Honoroff Jane Honoroff, LICSW, MSW (Simmons, 1979) is a psychotherapist and a mediator. With over 30 years of clinical social work experience, her expertise includes family/couple dynamics and issues around divorce. As a mediator, Jane specializes in disputes concerning divorce, post-divorce, non-traditional family issues, family business and estate settlement. She is Adjunct faculty at BU School of Social Work, consultant to Greater Boston Legal Services and served on Critical Incident Stress Debriefing teams from 1986 to 2005. David Matz David Matz, J.D. (Harvard, 1963) is a pioneer in the field of ADR with many years of experience teaching, training, consulting and practicing ADR. He has been Director of the UMass Boston Graduate Program on Dispute Resolution since its inception in 1986. David's expertise includes mediating and facilitating disputes involving commercial, family business, intra-organizational and public policy issues. He serves on Massachusetts court panels as well as the AAA employment disputes panel. David is also the co-author, with David Hoffman, of Massachusetts Alternative Dispute Resolution. David Hoffman David Hoffman, J.D. (Harvard) has served for many years as a neutral in many capacities – mediator, arbitrator, case evaluator, and discovery master. Formerly a partner at Hill & Barlow, where he practiced for 17 years, he is the founder of the Boston Law Collaborative, LLC, a multidisciplinary firm devoted to conflict resolution and the practice of collaborative law. He handles cases involving commercial, family, employment, construction, personal injury, product liability, professional malpractice, real estate, insurance, intellectual property, probate, and other issues. George Jacobs George Jacobs, J.D. (Harvard) was appointed to the Massachusetts Appeals Court in 1989 and served until the fall of 2003. His judicial positions also include Associate Justice of the Superior Court (1981-1989) and Associate Justice of the Bristol County Probate and Family Court (1975-1981). Prior to his judicial service, in addition to private practice (1958-1975), he served as City Solicitor of New Bedford from 1964 to 1970 and as Assistant Attorney General from 1970 to 1974. Throughout his career both on and off the bench, Judge Jacobs has developed expertise across a broad spectrum of legal practice areas. Susan Jampel Susan Jampel, (LICSW, MSW, Smith College School for Social Work) has been in private psychotherapy practice since 1976, specializing in individual adults, couples, and family therapy. Rudolph Kass Rudolph Kass, LL.B. (Harvard) served as a Massachusetts Appeals Court judge from 1979-2003. Before his appointment to the bench he was in private practice for over 20 years, most of those as a partner at Brown Rudnick Freed and Gesmer. His areas of specialty include urban renewal, land use and real estate, including zoning, financing, construction law, condominium law, eminent domain and real estate taxes. He has particular expertise in issues connected to government-assisted housing and was one of the initial framers of the statute that created the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency. Kenneth Laurence Kenneth Laurence, J.D. (Harvard Law School) served as an Associate Justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court from 1990 until 2007. Prior to his appointment to the bench he was a partner in the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart with a practice concentrating in antitrust, banking, health care and environmental litigation and administrative proceedings. Ken served as chairman of the Committee on Professional Responsibility at the Boston Bar Association, and has authored numerous articles and professional treatises, particularly in the areas of legal malpractice, the ethical practice of law, and the public trust doctrine. Joel M. Reck Joel M. Reck, J.D. (Harvard Law School) comes to TMG with forty years of experience practicing law. A retired partner at Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP and former Chair of the firm's Real Estate Department, Joel's diverse practice included development projects, acquisitions, sales, financings, leases and work-outs for a variety of institutions. Nicola Truppin Nicola Truppin, J.D. (Suffolk University Law School) worked in the health care field for over 20 years. She served as Manager of Member/ Provider Appeals & Grievances at Tufts Health Plan where she and her staff were responsible for handling member and provider disputes within the framework of conflict management principles. Mary Jeanne Tufano Mary Jeanne Tufano, J.D. (New York University) has an independent dispute resolution practice, providing arbitration, mediation and adjudicatory hearings to both private parties and government agencies. She previously served as an Administrative Law Judge with the Massachusetts Labor Relations Commission, where she adjudicated numerous labor management disputes. She also represented the state in litigation and administrative hearings as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Industries, and spent several years in private practice, specializing in labor and employment and a range of business issues.
