Mediator

Esther Lin, J.D., is a mediator and past fellow at The Mediation Group. She received her B.A. in Philosophy at Stanford University and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. As a former federal judicial clerk and intellectual property litigator with a deep understanding of trials and motion practice, Esther fully appreciates the alternatives that parties face when engaging in mediation. In addition to her work with TMG, Esther is an ombuds at Brandeis University, where she offers independent, impartial, informal, and confidential conflict management support to all members of the university community. She offers individual coaching, facilitated dialogues, listening circles, and workshops on difficult conversations across campus.

Esther is an active member of her church and has mentored middle school students for the past decade. She has a special interest in working with faith-based organizations and offers a sensitivity to the ways that differences and disagreements can uniquely impact people and communities of faith.

Aside from her role as a mediator, Esther is a spouse, mother, musician, and hand-lettering artist. She is fluent in Korean.
